The 2015 LLEAP Award winning AC40E-152S, which has both an aerial and crane mode of operation based on configuration, provides a dual rated solution for the operator who needs it all. This unit is Altec’s highest reaching aerial device when configured for aerial operation.
This boom truck crane offers best-in-class safety, productivity and operator convenience. Altec’s new Dual Entry Cab comes standard on the AC45E-127S to provide increased visibility and reduced neck strain and associated fatigue. The 45-ton maximum capacity crane offers a “solid feel” at a 100-foot load radius and more outrigger ground penetration, which reduces the amount of cribbing required to level the unit on uneven terrain.

The AC65E-155S is Altec’s largest and most capable dual rated product and is equipped with features that enable this machine to have both; class-leading material handling capacity as well as personnel lifting capabilities that rival most non-insulating aerial devices on the market today. As a material hoisting device, this machine features a maximum capacity of 130,000 pounds and is equipped with a six-section main boom with 155 feet of maximum extended length. As an A92.2 aerial device, the AC65E features a 1,200 pound two-person platform, a maximum working height of 216 feet, and an available side reach of up to 110 feet.
